Whitney Houston and Dana Bash

Whitney Elizabeth Houston was born to a musical family on the 9th of August, 1963 in Newark New Jersey the daughter of gospel singer Cissy Houston (nee Emily Lee Drinkard) and John Russell Houston Jr. and cousin of singing star Dionne Warwick. When she was a kid she performed in the New Hope Baptist Church Choir in Newark. When she turned fifteen, Houston was singing professionally as a backing vocalist with her mother in Chaka Khan's song from 1978 Im Every Woman. In the year 1981, she was a model and appeared on the Seventeen Cover. Also, she provided back vocals for Jermaine and Lou Rawls. The quality of her work as the vocalist featured in New York funk group Material attracted the attention of several major record labels, including Arista, with which she was signed in 1982, and continued to work for the remainder of her life. Whitney Houston was her debut album. Whitney Houston was released in 1985 and became the biggest-selling album by a debut artist. Several hit singles including the hit songs Saving All My Love For You How Do I know You Give Good Love as well as The Most Beautiful Love of All were released on the album. They set her up for a Beatles-beating seven consecutive US number ones. The album sold three million copies in its debut year in the US as well as make 25 million copies worldwide, earning her the first of her six Grammys. The 1987 follow-up album Whitney which included the hits The Place Do Broken Hearts Go and I Wanna Dance With Somebody built upon her successes, but it was 1992's film The Bodyguard (1992) that sealed her place as one of the best-selling artists in history. Although the film and her performance on screen were not widely appreciated, the album's soundtrack and her rendition of the Dolly Parton song I Will Always Love You topped the charts of albums and singles for months and sold 44 million copies all over the world. That same year she married Bobby Brown who was a previous New Edition singer. She had their sole daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown in March 1993. About this time her well-documented addiction to drugs began. By 1996, the singer was using drugs daily.

Dana Bash (also known as Dana Ruth Schwartz) is a CNN anchor and political reporter. The anchor has also created some of the network's weekend programs such as Evans & Novak' Late Edition' and Inside Politics.' She also worked with other well-known channels in the past including NBC as well as CBS. Bash was awarded a Women in Washington Power List prize by Elle magazine. With her amazing anchoring and reportage abilities, she is highly regarded by a lot of young journalists within the industry. She is a George Washington University graduate is a loving mother to one son. Bash is a single mother and had two marriages. Bash is an independent, strong woman. She loves her fans.
