The debut album of Aaliyah Age Ain't Nothin' but a Number came out in 1994. In the age group of 15 the album was awarded Gold standing. It was made as an album that was heavily in the style of R. Kelly and it brought her into the limelight. In 1996, she collaborated with Jermaine Dpri as well as Timbaland for her second studio album One In A Million, featuring the number one hit single If Your Girl knew. Aaliyah gained notoriety as an R&B artist after her album's release. In 2000 she starred in the action and romance film Romeo Must Die alongside martial artists Jet-Li. Joel Silver, film producer and director of Romeo Must Die spotted her during an awards event. She was a part of the vampire film that was based on Anne Rice Queen of the Damned, that was released in 2002. She also appeared on screen in The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions. Aarti is a combination of Aarti Majumdar and Aarti Munn as professional names. Her acting career started in the the mid 2000's, with a few roles on TV and films. Some of her other notable work are Leverage 2012, Suits 2013, and Grey's Anatomy 2017. In addition, she has appeared in commercials for big companies like the international auto manufacturer Volvo. Her home is within Los Angeles with her husband as well as her daughter, and is continuing to develop her acting career.
